When it comes to picking up a few new accessories for the fall season, I’m a big believer in pieces that work as collectibles, but—and this is an important but—they should also pull double duty and be just as good off the body as on. Take Aurélie Biedermann’s wheat husk necklace. Or Givenchy’s classic pump with a sliver of gold around the ankle—it’s museum-worthy. From bags to bracelets and wedges to Wellies, the options are endless (as is how to wear them). Look at the clutch, for example. We already know that how you carry it reveals something about your inner psyche;  now peruse our top picks from Valextra to Nancy Gonzalez (we’re loving python right now). Feeling a shoe? Alexander Wang is the go-to rock-'n’-roll designer who taps into our sexy side.
