Reese Witherspoon Throughout the Years in Vogue

In 2003, when we first featured Reese Witherspoon on the cover of Vogue, she had just become a worldwide box-office sensation with hit movies like Legally Blonde and Sweet Home Alabama. A couple of years later, she graced the pages of the magazine in a June Carter and Johnny Cash–inspired spread, shot by Annie Leibovitz for the November 2005 issue that came out just as Walk the Line was released. An Oscar later, we shot the actress again, this time accompanied by her good friend and go-to designer Olivier Theyskens. See Reese’s evolution from all-American sweetheart to Parisian fashion muse in our slideshow above.

"Every once in a while you're hit with moments when you think, Really? This is my life? How lucky am I?" says Witherspoon, on the balcony of the Hôtel de Crillon.

At the Nina Ricci Atelier, Reese opts for a more modern, youthful silhouette over full-skirted formality.
